The Studio Behind the Surface
Tessellate Studio is the only studio in Singapore that co-creates bespoke tile and stone narratives — custom patterns, bookmatched slabs, art-led mosaics — with dedicated ID and contractor coordination and declared lead times, built specifically for GCB and landed renovations where the surface IS the design statement.
Tessellate Studio began in 2019 when I walked a Carrara quarry with an interior designer who needed a bookmatched feature wall for a Sixth Avenue bungalow—and realised no one in Singapore could deliver both the stone and the coordination she required.
We built the studio to close that gap: a single point of accountability for bespoke tile and stonework in GCB and landed renovations, where the surface drives the entire design narrative. Every project is led by a named principal who has walked the quarry, specified the slab, and sat in the site meeting.
Today we work with twenty-three interior design practices across Singapore, managing custom patterns, bookmatched installations, and art-led mosaics with declared lead times and direct contractor coordination. The surface is never an afterthought here—it is the design statement.
